An Overview of Manual Lymph Drainage

One of the new services that we are SO excited to offer you is–MANUAL LYMPH DRAINAGE!!! In this article, we will give a brief overview of what MLD is, and how it can help YOU. Enjoy!

What is Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD)?

Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) is the manual stimulation of your body’s superficial lymphatic system in order to aid your body in removing waste, healing, and fighting infection. Lymph collectors that lie just superficial to the skin (appx. 1mm deep) will be gently massaged by your lymphatic therapist to flush waste from out of your tissues, and towards regional lymph nodes, to eventually be filtered by your kidneys and excreted.

What can Manual Lymph Drainage help you with?

MLD is very beneficial to those who have undergone recent surgery or injury, experience tissue swelling, or have conditions such as migraines, Fibromyalgia, Lipedema, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome, or for those who desire a general detox from environmental toxins, and cellular waste and debris.
